Manuels River Annual General Meeting March 31st, 2019
Manuels River’s governing body is the not-for-profit Manuels River Natural Heritage Society, Inc. (MRNHS). Directors will be elected at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre.
The Board of Directors has 16 members, each of whom is an active member of the MRNHS. The By-Laws provide for two-year terms with half elected each year. As one of the Directors resigned mid term, eight will be elected to a two-year term and one for a one-year term. The Nominating Committee is currently conducting a search for new members of the Board of Directors and is responsible for recommending eight (8) persons to be (re)elected to a two-year term and one person to be (re)elected to a one-year term
The Board meets at least six (6) times a year to review financial, operational and other reports from our Executive Director, Treasurer and the various committees and sets the strategy for the future. There are also Committees made up of both Board members and members of the MRNHS. Each Board member typically serves on at least one Board Committee.
